Dr. Ritu Kulshreshtha (Ph.D.)

Dr. Kulshreshtha obtained her B. Sc. (Hons in Botany) degree from Delhi University, New Delhi, and a Master’s Degree in Plant Molecular Biology from Delhi University, New Delhi. She completed her Ph.D. (in Plant Molecular Biology) at Delhi University, New Delhi. She has worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA; Tufts Medical Center, Boston, USA; Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. Later Dr. Kulshreshtha worked as Senior Research Associate (CSIR Pool Scientist Scheme) at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is Professor and Head at the Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. She has 20 years of research experience understanding the role and significance of non-coding RNAs in glioblastoma, meningioma, and other cancers. She has identified various oncogenic and tumor-suppressive miRNAs with prognostic and therapeutic importance.
